Joo Chase
My name is Chase, Joo. I am an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am a Korean-American who has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years. I received my BA in Art in Korea and my MBA in graduate school. I also received my certificate in Painting & Drawing from DVC in the US. I worked as a character designer for an internet portal company in Korea and as a project manager for 15 years. I mainly do portraits and abstracts, and some paintings of nature. My works capture a mix of Korean nature, my childhood there, and modern America. I like to incorporate various experiences into my art.
I mainly use oil, acrylic, watercolor, and Korean ink. I try to study and use all art materials. I dream of painting while studying painting for the rest of my life.
